There are currently just FOUR voyages left with vacancies to sail in John Laing in 2008. Two of these are standard voyages open to anyone aged 12-25; the other two are an adult weekend, and an overseas race. There are still hundreds of berths available for voyages in 2009.
* 20-22 June (adult weekend): Southampton, £150 per person, 2 nights, 2 places left (over-18s only). This voyage is suitable for anyone aged over 18, from novice sailors to experts. You could use it simply as a fun weekend on the water, or a chance to learn more about John Laing and OYT South. Anyone interested in having a look at us before volunteering to join our sea staff or bringing a group of young people to sail would be very welcome. This weekend is also an option for the parents of crew members who want to try John Laing sailing for yourselves!

* 11-22 August: Bergen (Norway) to Den Helder (Netherlands), £660 plus travel, 11 nights, just ONE place left (age range 15-25). This is Race 2 of the Tall Ships Race series 2008. Your last chance to take part in one of the season's biggest adventures!
* 8-13 September: Southampton to Southampton, 5 nights, £315 per person (full group booking available: 12 places for £3,780). This is a standard voyage for anyone aged 12-25, and could be booked by an assortment or individuals or an organised group, with or without group leaders. The programme depends entirely on the weather and the wishes and abilities of the young people (longer passages for keen sailors, or gentler trips for a younger group, or for individuals with special needs), but it might be possible to visit France, the Channel Islands, or ports in the south west of England. It would certainly be possible to complete an RYA qualification (Start Yachting or Competent Crew) on this voyage.
* 15-19 September: Southampton to Southampton, 4 nights, £275 per person (6 places left).
