Sara is leaving us at the end of the season after a fantastic two years as Prolific’s Staff Mate!
Having first sailed with us as part of a school group in 2019, Sara has volunteered as a bosun and watchleader, worked at winter refits, been our Youth Trustee, and spent several months as our Staff Cadet in 2022. She has been working through qualifications from RYA Start Yachting onwards, and having passed a First Mate assessment early in 2025, she has had two great seasons helping to manage safe, effective voyages and bringing a great deal of fun to young people, staff and volunteers.

It really is time for Sara to take all that experience and spread her wings, moving on to different boats and different organisations and different ways of doing things. We hope she will be back as a relief mate and we would be so proud if she becomes a sail training skipper in future!
But for now, we would like to send her off with a nice present …
