Major sponsors and supporters

MAKE A DONATION – 92.6% of expenditure in 2021-22 went on the direct delivery of our charitable services. (The remainder includes fundraising and governance costs).

Ocean Youth Trust South is enormously grateful for the donations of funds or equipment we receive from many individuals and organisations, as well as many contributions in the form of time and expertise. Without this support, we would not be able to keep our vessel in such good condition, and offer so many opportunities for young people from different backgrounds.

Our sincere thanks to all who have helped us this year and in the past.

Ocean Youth Trust South always seeks to build the best possible relationships with our donors – which includes supplying them with all the information they need on how their money is spent. Here’s what one major donor says about us:

“A grant from Peter Harrison Foundation has provided a bursary fund to help cover the cost of sailing trips for young sailors, who could not otherwise have had this invaluable experience. We have enjoyed the photographic and written reports after each voyage, although the smiles on the faces of the youngsters taking part probably belie some of the difficulties faced by everyone on board! These reports have given us direct insight into the needs of some of these young people – many from very troubled backgrounds – and the challenges they can bring on board with them as well as the potentially rewarding opportunity being offered. These short tales of life afloat remind us very nicely of the purpose behind the application and our decision to award a grant. Well done!” Andrew Ross OBE, Director, Peter Harrison Foundation
